Move over, Macy’s Parade: It’s the First-EVER Woodlawn Thanks & Giving Parking Lot Parade!
While we are unable to have our traditional “Thanks & Giving Dinner” this year, we’ll honor the tradition by having a parade! Join us Sunday, November 22 at 3 p.m. for a truly memorable and socially distanced experience of sharing and caring! We hope all our members will participate in our Thanksgiving Car & Canned Goods Parking Lot parade!
Led by a giant turkey, we’ll parade around the parking lot and enjoy an amazing show by local fire twirling artist Casey A’Blaze! We’ll be collecting canned food and personal care items for Circle of Concern (see list below), and end the gathering with a socially-distanced singing of “We Gather Together!” Pre-register to take home a make and bake kit for the ever-famous Woodlawn Chapel Apple pie! Decorate your car, wear fun Thanksgiving hats, and get ready to cheer as we gather food for our neighbors in need! Be sure to gather at 3 p.m. sharp, and pre-register by calling the church or emailing Katie Dodwell at [email protected].
Circle of Concerns current needs include:
Jelly, Pasta Sauce, Dinner Helpers, Canned Pasta, Dry potatoes/beans/rice, Condiments, Snacks
Body Wash, Laundry detergent, Hand Soap, Bar Soap, Conditioner.
