Can you come out and play?

Woodlawn Chapel is delighted to welcome community and youth teams to enjoy our baseball/softball field and surrounding turf fields.  We offer one unlighted softball/baseball field with infield and backstop, and have several turf-only spaces suitable for t-ball, or catching  and throwing practice. These are available by reservation only for nominal fees. Reservations will open January 1, 2026.  Reserve by February 1 and receive a discounted rental. All reservations must include an application, insurance waiver or certificate, and a $60 deposit (which will be credited toward your season fees). Balance for remainder of season due by the first practice. Please call the church (636-458-3009) or email us with any questions.  Policies and the Application Form are linked below. Reservations not guaranteed until confirmed by Woodlawn Chapel Presbyterian Church. Once schedules are set, they will be posted on this webpage and attached to the backstop.

2026 Field Use Policies

Woodlawn Chapel Ballfield Use Application – 2026

Reservations for the spring (March-May) season and summer season (June-July) begin January 1. Reservations made before February 1 will receive a $5 per session discount.

Fees:

Field use application deposit: $60 per season

Field use:
Baseball/Softball field is $30 per ninety minute session.
(Early bird rate of $25 per session for reservations made January 1-31)

Turf only (not suitable for ages 8 and up):
$25 per sixty minute session (Early bird rate does not apply for turf only use).

Pavilion Rental (parties or team events/barbecues, etc.):
$100 for two hours. (Early bird rate does not apply for pavilion rental).
Rental of pavilion includes bathroom access, firepit, and grill.

FIELD POLICIES:

1. FIELDS & AVAILABILITY: One unlighted baseball/softball field with backstop and infield, and additional turf fields suitable for younger teams. Fields available beginning March 9, depending on weather. Restrooms are not available. Teams may reserve up to two 90-minute sessions per week through July.
2. FEES: $30 per 90-minute session, to be paid according to the schedule listed below. ($5 discount if reservations are made before January 31.)
3. DEPOSIT: $50 paid with application. Deposit refunded if schedule is full.
4. SCHEDULING: Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams should offer first, second, and third choice times. Every effort will be made to honor requests. Reservations must be submitted with a $50 deposit payable by check and the signed application.
5. PAYMENTS: Online payments accepted once reservation is approved. (Instructions to be emailed.)
6. COMMUNICATION: A schedule will be posted on line at woodlawnchapel.com and attached to the backstop. Teams are responsible for switching times. Only teams with approved reservations may use the fields.
7. Fields are available beginning Monday-Friday at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. during the school year. Saturdays 7:30-8 p.m. and Sundays from 12:30-8 p.m. Please respect the church’s worship schedule on Sunday mornings.
8. Please note: The fields will be closed at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, and all day on Easter Sunday, April 5. Your understanding is appreciated.
9. The church reserves the right to close access to the fields at any time. (Example: should a funeral be scheduled, the church will reach out to teams immediately if their time will be impacted.)
10. Each team is responsible for picking up and removing trash at the end of practices.
11. Woodlawn Chapel’s fields are maintained by the donations of members and friends of the church. While we will do our best to provide regular lawn mowing and weed control, we are unable to rake the infield, provide bases, or other maintenance requests. Teams are welcomed to speak with the church about providing any of these services at their own cost. Please speak with the church if you have questions or suggestions.
12. Please park in the parking lot, and not on the grass.
13. Abusive behavior, bullying, or harassment of children or adults will not be tolerated, and will result in a permanent ban from field use.
14. Adults are to be present at all times. Woodlawn Chapel’s child protection requires that at least 2 adults are present.
15. Alcohol use is not permitted, except for groups or families who have rented the pavilion and notified the church in advance. Our pavilion is available to be rented for barbecues, picnics, and parties. Please call the church office.
16. The playground equipment is not to be used, except by those renting the pavilion.
17. All teams must present a certificate of liability insurance naming Woodlawn Chapel as an additional insured. The church assumes no warranty regarding lost or stolen personal items. (Can normally be obtained through your sponsoring athletic organization. Call the church if you have questions.)
