MUSIC
At Woodlawn, music is the backbone of our worship.
Our worship is enhanced by the gifts of our choir and bell choir.
Each group rehearses weekly from September through May. New participants are always welcomed – just bring your love of making music.
- Under the direction of music director, Harry Moppins, the choirs lead us in praising God.
- Music coordinates with scripture readings, sermon, and prayers.
- Our volunteer choir sings a variety of music, including contemporary songs, traditional anthems, gospel, jazz and music from around the globe.
- Special music throughout the year includes guest musicians, soloists, instrumentalists, and seasonal offerings.
“When we moved to St. Louis, we were looking for a church home with a choir where I could participate. Woodlawn Chapel’s music ministry offered me the chance to get involved right away.”
It’s said that those who sing pray twice – so join us in praising God with song and instrument!
