The Baby Room:

The infant room at MDO fosters love, provides security and nurtures growth and independence. The day is filled with lots of free inter-active play, along with books, music, lunch and recess. The children grow both socially and mentally while having fun together.

“I have worked at the Woodlawn Mom’s Day Out program for 10 years. I really enjoy working with the kids and watching them grow and change throughout the year. Their smiles and hugs warm my heart. I have lived in Wildwood for over 20 years with my husband and two children.” – Lynn N.

The Green Room:

The green room is for 1-2 year olds, an extension of the Baby Room, which fosters love, provides security and nurtures growth and independence. The day is filled with lots of free inter-active play, along with books, music, lunch and recess. The children grow both socially and mentally while having fun together.

“Over the years, each of my four kids (two boys and two girls) have been at Woodlawn MDO for a year or two and I loved every teacher because I could tell that they genuinely loved kids. My youngest child is now in middle school, my oldest in college, and I still love the younger ages. Being in the Green Room is a great fit for me. I love seeing the kids each day; they are so entertaining and I enjoy helping them learn new things and how to get along with their friends. This is my first year being a teacher but I have been a coach for volleyball and basketball teams for over 15 years. My husband and I have lived in the Ellisville/Wildwood area for over 20 years.” – Ann E.

The Yellow Room:

Our class is the young 2 year olds. We enjoy learning our alphabet, numbers, and colors. We teach them manners, how to take turns and of course our please and thank you. We have a lot of fun learning and playing in the Yellow Room.

“I have been teaching at Mom’s day for 7 years. It is truly rewarding to watch the children grow emotionally and socially throughout the school year. They are able to learn in a fun and nurturing environment. I am a mother to 5 girls and have lived in Wildwood for 21 years.” – Sue M.

The Blue Room:

We provide a caring and supportive environment that encourages positive social interaction and introduces the children to school readiness concepts.

We believe that learning is fun and we incorporate learning through the use of themes. Within a theme, a framework of books, songs, art projects, and crafts, encourages the children to discover patterns, numbers, shapes, colors, letters and their sounds, and the seasons.

“I have been teaching at Woodlawn for 10 years. I always had a passion to work with children. At my church I worked in the Children’s Ministry including summer bible camps and Wednesday nights. I feel God was grooming me all those years to become a preschool teacher. I am married and have two beautiful children, Zachary and Alyssa. I really enjoy working at Woodlawn. It is a perfect fit for my family and me.” – Lisa R.

The Red Room:

We provide a caring and supportive environment that encourages positive social interaction and introduces the children to school readiness concepts, as well as the Blue Room. Learning is fun and we use all of letters of the alphabet throughout the weeks to combine with art work, writing skills, songs, activities, etc.

“I have been at MDO for 3 years and a teacher in the Red Room for the past two years. It has been such a wonderful experience getting to know the children and seeing them grow throughout the school year. I really enjoy teaching at Woodlawn and each child holds a special place in my heart. I am, also, the mother of two boys, Kyle and Chase, ages 22 and 18 respectively. I am a resident of Ellisville and enjoy hiking around Bluebird Park with my dog, Molly.” Amy W.
