After much prayer and conversation, the Session has voted to resume in person worship on Sunday, October 4 at 9:30 a.m. Livestreaming of worship will continue for those who choose not to attend in person. The following guidelines will apply:
1. Reservations must be made EACH week by Thursday before every Sunday.
2. Maximum capacity will be 25 persons. Only family groups may sit together.
3. Facemasks will be required, and attendees will be asked basic Covid-19 screening questions.
4. There will be no gatherings in the narthex before or after worship, no hand shaking, etc.
While this won’t be a return to worship the way we have experienced it in the past, it will offer an opportunity to gather in person for those who feel comfortable. The Session will continue to monitor infection rates in St. Louis County and evaluate our plans accordingly.
These past six months have taken a toll on all of us. This has certainly been the most difficult experience of my ministry. Together, however, we have claimed the promises of God who is always faithful. It is by remaining together that we will be able to move forward in faith, hope, and love.
