WORSHIP

Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Now in person & online

At Woodlawn Chapel, worship is the life-blood of our community.

  • Sunday morning worship is now online and in person.
  • You can watch online here
  • We are not experiencing large crowds. Currently everyone must wear a face mask while singing.
  • We gather to sing, pray, and to offer our praise to God. You͛ll find that our worship is structured somewhat traditionally, and inclusive of a variety of music.
  • The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, as well as on every Sunday during Lent, and on Maundy Thursday, Easter, and Christmas Eve. Special worship services are held throughout the year, including an annual Advent Service of Remembrance and Hope.
  • Children are welcomed, and are invited to attend Sunday school following the children͛s message. Nursery care is provided.

“Worship at Woodlawn Chapel is filled with joy. Every time the children light the candles, or the choir sings, or even something unexpected happens, I think of the song we sometimes sing, Standing on Holy Ground, and I say to myself, ‘There really are angels all around.'”

“When I come to worship, I look at our stain-glassed window. I see the wind, the rain, the lightening, the earth the moon and all the colors of the sun. I see the Power of God when the sun shines through it on a Sunday morning. Glorious! All of that is framed by the never-ending circle of life and the cross reminding us of Jesus.”
